On vacation...sorta

If you have a lot of flexibility at work, I highly recommend signing up for Spirit Airlines weekly email specials. I was able to get roundtrip tickets to Orlando for $56, taxes and fees included. Usually, these discount airfares are advertised between 2-3 weeks in advance, so you need to be able to leave on relatively short notice.

Luckily, the weather in Florida has warmed for my arrival, a balmy 68 degrees when I landed. I'll be here until Saturday enjoying the warm weather and catching up on my reading, including Grand New Party by Ross Douthat and Reihan Salam and The Revolution: A Manifesto by Ron Paul.

I'm a couple of chapters in Grand New Party, and I am finding their vision for redefining the Republican Party very thought-provoking. When I finish, I'll be sure to include a short synopsis and my thoughts overall.
